Phase 1 Timeline
The inspiration for the Power of 10 came while Jeff Scott was attending Dreamforce in late 2007. Jeff had the chance to meet Jill Sieder, the executive director of the East Atlanta Kids Club on a boat trip across the San Francisco Bay to Tiburon. As Jill shared her story, it set in motion a fundamental shift for him both personally and professionally - it was time to begin the process of creating a mission-driven, for-profit culture that could make a significant difference in our community.
2007- 2008 Program Launch and development
This was our breakthrough year! We realized the importance of incorporating our giving back goals into the corporate culture and strategic planning process each year. In early November each year we establish our giving back goals and then refine our for-profit strategic plan in support of each goal.
2009 permantley shaped our direction and set us up for an amazing 2010!

2010 was a great learning experience :) for the Giving Back Program. We achieved our overall community impact goal but discovered that each of the individual goals were quite unique. Some goals were not going to allow a small team of individuals to scale and had to be adjusted or totally removed in 2011.
It is important to fail, reflect on lessons learned and be prepared for what lies ahead!

Sometimes things just take flight and you have to enjoy the ride. As we started to double down on developing applications for nonprofits, the demand for rescuing multiple nonprofits pushed our in-kind grant program over the top. It was time to evalute consulting partnerships that could help grow the program and expand our resource pool to meet the growing demand.
It turns out that we discovered a hidden gem in the heart of Atlanta known as TechBridge!
2013 Results | $1,581,376 IN TOTAL COMMUNITY IMPACT!
2014 was by far the most challenging and rewarding year since the start of the program. Shortly after the start of the year we were asked to rescue a local homeless outreach program that had been struggling to survive the down economy. It was an all hands on deck adventure that lasted nine months and pushed the in-kind program over the top yet again.
It was time to establish a structured grant program and focus our efforts on the building apps!

A big shout out to the TechBridge team in 2015! Their support and ability to implement the software applications allowed us to more than double our goal of providing free software built on the Salesforce Platform (the program grew over 400%). The National Ability Center and the J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center each received a 5 year $100,000/yr in-kind grant allowing us to focus on developing technology to expand their missions.
We exited the year with over $8.2 million in impact and entered our 10th year of giving in 2016!
2015 Results | $2,844,565 IN TOTAL COMMUNITY IMPACT!
Power of 10™ founder Jeff Scott was fortunate to have the guidance of experienced mentors as a young adult and credits much of his success to their influence. Jeff is personally committed not only to passing on to others the gift that made such a difference in his personal life and career, but to building sustainable giving programs that impact our community.
Building on the success of 2015, with the help and support of our clients, the Power of 10 Team accomplished the following in 2016:

Well it happens! You focus your team on the goal of packaging 500,000 meals at Dreamforce in San Francisco and realize that herding conference attendees in Mascone West long enough to package the meals is much harder than it looks.
Not to worry, what came of 2012 set in motion one of the most rewarding years ever. The program matured, the team set larger goals and the structure of a sustainable corporate giving program was born.
